Unique Wedding Venue – The Meerkermark

Magnolia, TX will forever be a special place in my heart. This small town is where I married the man of my dreams and discovered one of the most unique wedding venues. I’m talking about The Meekermark, a unique wedding venue. It is GORGEOUS!

Interior

The owners deconstructed an old Canadian barn and rebuilt it in Magnolia, TX which gave the reception hall so much character. The interior was stunning! The wood from the barn was such a nice warm color and it was all wide open. There were chandeliers that helped elevate the space making it more modern and help balance the farm style feel. They have a kitchen for our caterer to use on the day of. On the main floor, there is a bridal suite with a private outdoor courtyard and a groom suite upstairs in the loft. As you walk towards the back of the barn, there are large accordion windows (want these in my future house) that fully open making a seamless flow from the interior space to the exterior space.

Exterior

As you go outside, there is an open field with trees, making a wonderful backdrop. Fairy lights stream from the barn to one of the tree, creating a great background for photos. The open field is perfect for outdoor games during cocktail hour or for kids to run around. There were two swings on either side of the patio that were just cute and fun. On the side of the open field, there is a path that leads to the outdoor steel framed chapel where the ceremony takes place. NOW, this is what made this venue stand out. It was the most unique thing we saw through our journey of touring venues. This blew my mind on how absolutely perfect it was for my wedding and one of the main reasons we said yes to the venue!

Needless to say, I love my unique wedding venue. It was a great representation of my style along with my husband’s and it was also unique; making it stand out compared to all the other venues we toured.

So cheers to everyone that has recently gotten married and good luck to those that are currently planning your wedding! If you want to know more about my process of deciding on a venue or even how I planned my wedding, let me know. I would love to write more about my wedding, the good and the bad.
